Setup your email on Windows Phone 8
This article provides instructions for setting up your BendBroadband email on a smartphone running Windows Phone 8.
For Chambers Cable email addresses, you can follow the steps below, but use the server settings listed here.
Note: You must set up the email account with BendBroadband before setting it up on your Windows 8 phone. For instructions on creating a new email address click here.
From your home screen, select the mail tile:
From the inbox, select options in the bottom right corner:
Select "add email account" from the list:
Select "advanced setup" from the list:
Enter your BendBroadband email address and password in the fields, then tap next:
Select "Internet email":
- Complete the following fields as follows and select "sign in." You will need to scroll down to see all fields.
- Congratulations! Your email is set up.
|Account Name:||How you would like to identify the account|
|Your name:||The name you would like on outgoing mail|
|Username:||Your full email address|
|Password:||The password you log in to Webmail with|
|Incoming email server:||pop-server.bendbroadband.com:110|
|Outgoing (SMTP) email server:||smtp-server.bendboradband.com:25|
|Select the checkbox "Outgoing server requires authentication"|
|Select the checkbox "Use the same username and password for sending mail"|
|Do not select the checkbox "Require SSL for incoming email"|
|Do not select the checkbox "Require SSL for outgoing email"|
