Email Storage and Purging Rules
This article provides information regarding email storage and purging rules for BendBroadband's email servers.
For all BendBroadband/BendCable email users, we have email storage capacities as follows:
- Message Limit: 5000 Messages
- Storage Limit: 1GB
- Email Message Expiration: 1460 days – 4 years.
Note: If the email account has not been accessed for over 6 months, all emails within the account will be removed from the server. In order to prevent any automatic deletion of emails, the email account must be accessed within a 6 month period.
If emails are left on the server for more than 4 years, they will be purged from the server. See Backing up your emails for assistance to back up your emails locally.
Backing up your emails
To back up your emails, 3rd party software is available as an option to backup your emails. BendBroadband recommends using Email software such as Microsoft Outlook or Mac Mail to send and receive email. You can find more information available for setting up your email with another email client on this website. See Internet How-To articles. Using an email client will allow you to store your emails on your PC or MAC. In addition, within these programs there will be archiving options available.
