Mark Barber joined TDS Telecommunications Corp. in March of 2013. Prior to joining TDS Mark played a vital role in the company's acquisition of cable provider Baja Broadband. Now, Mark is responsible for leading TDS' cable operations and evaluating future cable television acquisition targets.
Mark has been on the cutting edge of the communications industry for more than three decades. During that time he was an integral part of several organizations including Charter Communications, Comcast International, Chase Enterprises, Hauser Communications and Cobridge Communications.
Mark's career accomplishments are vast. He was a driving force in the early development of cable systems in the United States and overseas. In 2002 Mark helped Charter Communications roll out the first primary line VoIP cable telephony in North America. While working for nTelos he helped launch and operate the Personal Communications Service (PCS) and Multichannel Multipoint Distribution Service (MMDS) and systems in the Southeastern U.S.
Mark served as chief operating officer of Cobridge Communications a company he co-founded and later sold in 2012. Mark provided key leadership for two start-up companies, and is an advisory board member for Piiku. He also has experience developing and delivering products and services in support of the communications industry at ComSonics, Inc., NeuStar, Inc. and Targus Information Corporation.
During his 30-years in the business Mark has held several other positions. At the executive level he's worked in strategic planning, sales, marketing, engineering, construction and corporate and field operations management.
Julie leads the Zolo Media sales team, as well as manages all operations for KOHD-ABC, KBNZ-CBS, and COTV under the TDS broadcasting umbrella. Prior to joining Zolo in October 2014, Julie served in many television and radio management roles, most recently in Tucson where she led the integration of 4 radio stations, 2 TV stations and multiple digital enterprises into a single multimedia organization.
Julie has a degree in Applied Arts in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts from Central Michigan University, and an MBA with a concentration in leadership studies from the Baker Center for graduate studies. She is an alumna of the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation's broadcast leadership training program.
Since joining BendBroadband in 2001, Dwayne has played a key role in designing, planning and implementing many of BendBroadband’s critical projects, including the conversion to an all-digital network, the launch of HD channels and Wi-Fi, the rebuilding of the Sunriver system, and the development of diverse fiber routes throughout Central Oregon. With more than 17 years of experience in fiber optics and a gift for coordinating cross-functional teams, Dwayne has led the technical operations team through complicated projects to improve bandwidth and service.
Dwayne is vice president of the Central Oregon Underground Council. He is an active member in the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers and the Oregon Joint Use Association. Dwayne earned an associate’s degree in Agricultural Business and is a graduate of the Oregon Leadership Institute.
John Farwell is currently responsible for business operations, but in his tenure he has led marketing, direct sales, customer care, installation, TV programming and COTV. Since he joined BendBroadband in 1999, his accomplishments have included leading the organizational rebranding and overhauling the system to an all-digital signal in 2009.
Before joining BendBroadband, John was finance manager at Tektronix for 18 years. He has a business degree with an emphasis in accounting from San Diego State University.
Sean has successfully led the company’s Business Services sales organization during a period of rapid growth and economic turmoil. Sean, who joined BendBroadband in 2009, has over 20 years of experience in sales and management leadership. He has worked with leading datacenter providers, including EMC, Datalink and General Electric. His sales and support experience includes disaster recovery, business continuity, virtualization, networking and data storage architecture solutions.
Sean has played a key role in the development, design and strategy of the Vault since its inception. He ensures that our solutions meet the needs of clients in the medical, telecommunications, financial and government sectors.
A former U.S. Army Ranger, Sean holds a degree in kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach. He also earned an MBA in technology management and a master’s certificate in sales management from the University of San Francisco.
Wade Holmes leads our technology and service operations teams. Active in the service provider industry for more than 17 years, Wade has become adept at strategizing technological transitions. Wade has received industry awards for his leadership in product development. He has been instrumental in designing the Vault data center as well as the regional network connectivity needed to support it. He served a key leadership role in the launch of the BendBroadband whole-home media system. Before joining BendBroadband in 2006, Wade provided engineering and project management services for the College of Engineering at Oregon State University, the High Desert Education Service District, Oregon Trail Internet and BendNet. Wade holds a B.S. in computer science from Oregon State University. He currently serves on the Oregon Broadband Advisory Council.
Britt is responsible for all marketing and product development efforts. He has 20 years of experience in the high-tech and telecommunications industries. Before joining Bendbroadband in 2012, Britt served in executive roles at T-Mobile for 10 years, concluding his tenure as vice president of B2B marketing. While at T-Mobile, Britt launched several innovative and award-winning products. Britt previously drove strategic initiatives in the corporate development group at Nextlink Communications. He started his career at Arthur Andersen, where he advised global clients on finance and business strategy. He has a degree in finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Washington.
As manager of support technicians and supervisors, Rob is constantly looking for ways to better the BendBroadband customer experience. He has deployed cost- and power-saving initiatives across plants and departments. Actively engaged in tech support, Rob leads by example.
Rob brings 16 years of technical and application support experience He earned a bachelor of science in management information systems with a minor in business from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
