Our Story
BendBroadband is a local, family-owned business that has served Central Oregonians for more than 50 years. Involved in the company since the early 1970’s, my family acquired full ownership in 1984. Later the cable systems in Sisters and Redmond were added. Since then we have expanded our services to many of the outlying areas of Deschutes County. In 2003 the company name was changed from Bend Cable to BendBroadband, recognizing that our services had expanded beyond cable TV. BendBroadband is nationally recognized as a leader in the cable industry due to our progressiveness with technology. In fact, we were the first company to provide high-speed Internet service in Oregon, back in 1997—providing a draw to Central Oregon for telecommuters seeking work-life balance. We have a long list of firsts for the introduction of new technology in Oregon cities, small or large. In addition to residential service, we provide a full array of products to businesses in the region, including Internet, fiber connectivity, phone, video and advertising services through our sister company Zolo Media.

Our team of more than 200 associates is dedicated to delivering an outstanding experience both in terms of service quality and in responsiveness to your needs. Whether it’s a sales or billing question, product support, installation or an in-home service visit – you should expect and receive nothing but the best from our associates. Operating a complex business, I know that everything will not be perfect all the time. However, in order to fix a problem we have to know about it. The Importance of Corporate Citizenry
Our role as a community citizen is a priority. At BendBroadband we care about the people in the communities we serve. While our focus is on children and families, we also contribute to the arts and dozens of causes, non-profit events and organizations. Each year more than $200,000 in support is provided by our company, including free cable and broadband to all public schools and free or discounted service grants to more than 50 non-profit groups. BendBroadband also produces hundreds of hours of local community programming, including high school sports, a live morning show Good Morning Central Oregon, City Council meetings, Talk of the Town, Cooking Central Oregon Style and others. Local programming can be found on COTV Channel 11 as well as Free Video on Demand on Channel 999.
