Working for BendBroadband

Working for BendBroadband means joining a leader in the telecommunications industry. We were the first company in Oregon to launch high speed internet service in 1997, and the first cable operator in the state to have an all-digital cable platform. Our forwardthinking and progressive attitude toward emerging technology adoption has earned us multiple awards and accolades over the years, including CableWorld Magazine’s small operator of the year in 2004 and CableFAX Magazine’s Top Ops Technology award in the summer of 2010.

Being an employee of BendBroadband also means giving back to the Central Oregon community. As a concerned local company, we are proud of our contributions and corporate giving efforts to the children and youth in their education and athletic endeavors. BendBroadband is also a generous supporter of the Central Oregon cultural arts and entertainment, contributing to local arts, cultural and music programs around the area. Additionally, we provide complimentary or discounted services to all public schools, fire stations, and a variety of nonprofit organizations. The total annual value of these contributions as well as the in-kind media and advertising support that BendBroadband provides is more than $500,000 annually. We take to heart that we are a local company, and that because we’re local, we have to be better. In fact, it’s not only our position, it’s our brand promise.

Did we mention family friendly? Bend is also a great place for the little ones and was listed as the top town in Oregon in 2009 to raise your kids by Business Week. From Bend Parks & Recreation outings in the summer to the ‘Mighty-Mites Ski Program at Mt. Bachelor in the winter, Bend has offerings for kids of all ages throughout the year.

Bend has been called an outdoor mecca and bona fide climbing town by National Geographic Adventure, best trail running town by Outside magazine, one of the nation’s top five ski towns by Travel + Leisure, one of the top 10 fly fishing towns in the country by both Fly Fisherman and Field and Stream magazines and the overall top adventure town by Men’s Journal.
